The Hammond Bridge connected Florence Station with the state highway until it was bypassed with an impressive concrete and steel span. Standing in a grove of trees apart from modern hustle and bustle, the retired bridge inspires dreams of the past.

Our thanks to the Town of Pittsford for allowing the posting of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society Welcome patch. For more information about the Pittsford area visit their website at http://pittsfordvermont.com.
